Romania Suspends Tax Convention with Russia on Avoidance of Double Taxation. Decision Published in the Official Gazette

In the Official Gazette, Part I, no. 1.027 of October 14, 2024, the Order of the Minister of Foreign Affairs no. 2.009/2024 regarding the suspension of the application of the provisions of the Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and capital, signed in Moscow on September 27, 1993, was published.

„As of October 14, 2024, the application of the Convention between the Government of Romania and the Government of the Russian Federation for the avoidance of double taxation with respect to taxes on income and capital, signed in Moscow on September 27, 1993, and ratified by Law no. 38/1994, published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, no. 158 of June 24, 1994, is suspended”, the legal act states.
